“ Just moved back to Alaska with my husband and 3 children (5, 6, and 9mos. old). We were looking for a casual setting where we could bring all 3 and find something for everyone to enjoy. A friend of ours recommended Matanuska Brewing in midtown Anchorage. While it was very evident that they were struggling a bit with managing the influx of the dinner rush, we received decent service and were big fans of the pizza and burgers that we ordered. Our server's name was Katy, and she did a fantastic job waiting on our family (we know some people aren't fond of serving children). Thanks again for the great service! We will be back! ”
“ Came to this place on a business trip with a huge group of people and even though it was trivia night, the staff was still very accommodating. Because I was in Alaska, I a seafood dish and it was decent...nothing special. There were rave reviews of the pizza, and the beignets for dessert are a must! ”
“ I'm just gonna jump right in. The fries have a very nice cut to them but I feel like they aren't as crunchy as I would expect. Still ate them with ketchup though! The fish is cod and it's covered with the thickest batter I've ever seen on a piece of fish in my life. The jambalaya is really really good. The waiter was super sweet and stayed on top of everything. There was live music while we were there. While they weren't professionals it was still nice to have as background noise. Burger was pretty good, cheese was melted nicely & bacon was crunchy on the edges but softer middle. Very good. ”
“ Matanuska midtown is a great place to stop and grab a good pizza or burger with a friend. The atmosphere is very relaxing music & great and sometimes they have highlights on the big TV. The menu is pretty much the same from Eagle River Matuska, but there are some differences here all in all both places are relatively the same and I recommend both. ”
“ Edited to include 2nd visit that was just as good as the first! Cheese bread was amazing! Served with marinara, it was cheaper than a small pizza. Salad was huge and a lot of meat. Husband said fish and chips was the best he's ever had! This place will not disappoint! Staff was super friendly! Our server, Tiffany, was amazing. Never had to ask for refills and checked back often. One of the best burgers I've had! So juicy my plate was covered in juice when I bit into it. Great flavor and cooked perfectly. The white cheddar cheese was so melted it was dripping everywhere. So good! And bacon had great flavor! French fries were amazing! Sea salted, medium cut and not a bit of grease on them. Husband has the Cobb Salad and it was huge and he said it was great. Would definitely go back! ”
